All About Hello Tango

Why Hello Tango?

Argentine tango is a magical dance. Exciting, passionate, mysterious, charming… So much has already been said about tango, passion, and respect that we don’t want to continue. We want to offer you an experience that commits you to this beautiful dance and lifestyle for the long term.

Tango for the Everyone?

Do you think only older people dance tango? Just know that the world champion is 22, and the European champion is 21 years old. Even next door, in Serbia or Romania, hundreds of teenagers and young adults dance tango. They say maturity is needed for tango, but we believe all you need are two legs and feelings.

What Do We Offer?

We introduce you to the world of tango. Learn the first steps, find forums and tango evenings where you can dance, find community, and grow. If you’re interested in why Argentine tango is much more than just a dance, sign up! We welcome students and young people, hold classes, and help you progress.

How Can You Learn With Us?

Groups

If you don’t know which level suits you, write or call us! You can join in pairs or alone. With the knowledge gained in our classes, you can join our events!

Private Lessons

If your schedule is variable or you want to progress faster, we recommend our private lessons. At a pre-agreed time, we focus solely on you for 60 minutes.

Prices

We believe everyone deserves to dance, and we build accordingly. For those under 26, only a weekly contribution is required, which allows you to participate in all programs we organize.

If you still can’t afford tango, please let us know; we continuously reserve two “scholarship” spots. Once you get back on your feet, we continue on a paid basis.

The contributions from those under 26 are entirely used for maintaining and expanding the school and building the community.

However, if you feel you can afford more, we welcome any additional contributions.

Weekly Contribution: 2,000 HUF

Single Class: 4,500 HUF

4 Classes: 14,000 HUF

3 Months: 34,000 HUF

60 Minutes Class: 14,000 HUF

Hello Tango offers beginner, intermediate and advanced Argentine tango classes as well as private lessons in Budapest and Debrecen.
Our courses are bilingual (English & Hungarian) and focus on building a friendly, youthful community.

Yes, absolutely! Our beginner courses are designed for complete newcomers.
No dance experience or partner is required.

We hold regular weekly classes in Budapest – check our schedule at hellotango.hu.
We also organize workshops and events regularly in Debrecen.

Yes! We offer private tango lessons in both Budapest and Debrecen.
These are tailored to individual goals and allow for focused, personalized progress.

Not at all. Many of our students come solo.
Partner switching is available (but optional), so everyone gets a chance to dance.

We regularly host milongas (social tango nights), workshops, and fun community events like dinner parties and picnics – in both Budapest and Debrecen.
They’re great for connecting and practicing with others!

Our classes are primarily aimed at young adults, but everyone is welcome!
The most important thing is an open mind and willingness to learn.

Wear something comfortable and bring smooth-soled shoes.
If you don’t have tango shoes yet, sneakers are totally fine for your first lessons!

Teaching tango is not easy, as learning feelings and translating them into the language of the body is also challenging. Everyone is captivated by different things, and everyone understands differently. I try to give back everything I have seen and realized from my masters so that our students can incorporate it into their dance as beautifully as possible.
